Simpson Studios is a locally owned business out of Ankeny, IA. Erin Simpson was born in Columbus, NE in 1988 and moved to IA in 1997. She began to develop an interest photography in high school and, after a brief period at Drake University studying education, transferred to DMACC to pursue a photography degree. She graduated in 2008 with a 4.0 GPA.
While in college, she further honed her photography skills through freelance jobs to prepare better for running her own studio after graduation. Erin is a very recent graduate and, as a result, very knowledgeable in the cutting-edge technology that accompanies photography.
The portraits of Simpson Studios are taken exclusively outdoors at locations chosen by you, the client, to cater to the busy individual who would rather have a portrait taken down the street than across city. Because you have the option of having your portraits taken where you want, and we travel to locations outside the Des Moines/Ankeny area, you can feel certain that the portraits we deliver will be exactly what you envisioned. Pick locations that have sentimental value, or choose a spot with an amazing view...it's up to you.
